We are the inventor of the Belgian praline. Every day, our people continue to write the unique Neuhaus story. That story began in 1857, when Jean Neuhaus opened the very first boutique in the Queen's Gallery in Brussels. Quality and customer experience are at the heart of our business and that is exactly what our people do with heart and soul every day. The pride of working for the inventor of the Belgian praline is typical for each employee.
At Neuhaus, we have been delighting customers with moments of indulgence and craftsmanship since 1857. From our Belgian origins to becoming a globally recognized premium chocolate brand, one thing has never changed: our commitment to excellence, exceptional quality and memorable customer experiences. As Neuhaus continues to expand its retail and wholesale activities across the United States, strong and future-oriented financial management is essential to supporting our growth. To strengthen our US organization, we are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who will oversee our financial operations, ensure reliable reporting and help modernize the processes and systems behind our business. The Finance Manager will combine operational ownership with strong analytical and business-partnering capabilities. You will work closely with the US Managing Director, our headquarters in Belgium and external partners to create accurate financial insights, reinforce internal controls and support sound business decisions.
You lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes, ensuring that financial information is complete, accurate and delivered on time.
You prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analyses in close coordination with our headquarters in Belgium.
You monitor key performance indicators and translate financial information into clear insights that support commercial and operational decision-making.
You contribute to the improvement of reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, making them more consistent, efficient and business-focused.
You oversee and process the bi-weekly payroll in coordination with external payroll providers.
You manage boutique cash reconciliation and ensure that discrepancies are identified, investigated and resolved promptly.
You monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations and the company’s overall cash position.
You are responsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice processing, collections and vendor management.
You ensure the proper recording of expenses and the timely and accurate payment of vendors.
You monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding receivables and help manage credit risks.
You ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local tax requirements, including sales tax and corporate filings.
You coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, insurance providers and other financial partners when required.
You identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate financial processes, reducing manual work while improving efficiency and accuracy.
You play a leading role in the migration to a new ERP system, working closely with our headquarters, IT colleagues and external implementation partners.
You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A CPA qualification is a strong asset.
You have at least seven years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within audit, retail, consumer goods or FMCG.
You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and relevant US tax regulations.
You have broad, hands-on experience with financial operations, including closing, reporting, payroll, cash management, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
You are comfortable working with accounting and ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or similar platforms is an asset.
You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and are able to translate financial data into clear and actionable business insights.
You are technology-minded and actively look for opportunities to improve, automate and simplify financial processes.
You communicate clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders, external advisors and international colleagues.
Experience working within an international organization is considered a strong advantage.
At Neuhaus, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the continued development of an iconic Belgian premium chocolate brand in the United States. You will join a growing business where finance plays a central role in supporting operational excellence, sustainable growth and informed decision-making.
We offer a broad and visible position with significant ownership. You will be responsible for the full financial operation of Neuhaus US while also contributing to the modernization of our processes, reporting and systems. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on financial management with business partnership and transformation.
You will work in an international, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where continuous improvement, accuracy and pragmatic execution are highly valued. You will interact closely with the US leadership team, our headquarters in Belgium and a wide range of internal and external partners.
In return, we offer a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to grow within an internationally recognized premium brand. And of course, you will enjoy access to some of Belgium’s finest chocolate.
